Boko Haram Nominates Aisha Wakil To Lead Negotiations With Buhari
Reports making rounds on the Nigerian media space reveal Boko Haram has nominated Aisha Wakil who was earlier declared wanted by military operatives alongside two others namely Ahmed Bolori and Ahmad Salkida. Boko Haram terrorists have allegedly asked a local human rights activist and lawyer to start negotiating with the Nigerian government on their behalf, IBTimes UK reports. The move came days after President Muhammadu Buhari said the United Nation should intervene and negotiate with the Islamist outfit. Shortly after Buhari’s speech, an audio allegedly made by a Boko Haram member emerged. It is believed the person overheard, which is in Hausa, said Barrister Aisha Alkali Wakil aka Mama Boko Haram, should represent the group during negotiations with the government.
