Unknown gunmen have abducted six students of Igbonla Model College, Epe, Lagos. This is coming after four students and two staff were kidnapped in October 2016. The gunmen entered the school at about 6AM on Thursday after pulling down the fence. They headed for the boys’ hostel and took ten Senior Secondary School students. PUNCH reports  that four of the pupils were later released after the gunmen profiled their parents’ details. The gunmen were said to have shot into the air at about 8PM on Wednesday but retreated after police officers and soldiers returned fire. The kidnapped students were identified as Peter Jonah, Isiaq Rahmon, Adebayo George, Judah Agbausi, Pelumi Philips and Farouq Yusuf. One of the students said: “A friend saw two of them through the window and rushed to tell me that kidnappers had come again. At least 26 people died in the Saturday morning motor accident that occurred at the Ibadan end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Oyo State Police Command said. Confirming the tragedy, the command’s public relations officer, Kunle Ajisebutu, said 11 others including three children sustained severe injuries. Four people have been confirmed dead after a white Golf car ran into stationary truck at the Benin-Asaba Expressway in Delta State. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 20, 2016, when the driver of the vehicle lost control and ran off the road. No chance was given to the vehicle passengers as they died immediately upon impact,   Daily Post   reports. It took the residents of the community a lot of time before their corpses were removed from the wrecked car. The bodies of the victim were reportedly deposited at a nearby morgue.

EFCC has arrested an alleged 26yrs old Internet fraudster, Egbedayo Semilore for allegedly stealing the identities of two United States Army officers and duping an American woman of N4m. The EFCC said in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, that Semilore, while posing as an Afghan based US Army officer with the names Sergeant Shaft Pagan and Perrie Edingson allegedly defrauded some unsuspecting women. His last victim, according to the agency, is one P. J. (full names withheld), a US national from whom he claimed to have obtained about N4m in tranches and bought himself a car.
